Uses

Aluminum has been implemented in many industries relevant to survival gear, its high strength weight ratio along with reasonable price have made it a vital material.

Cookware

For cookware, Aluminum offers a lightweight alternative to stainless steel while being much less expensive than titanium. Some research has shown that the consumption of aluminum may cause health problems, but this is inconclusive so far. Most aluminum cookware has either teflon of some other coating which should mitigate any possible leaching of the aluminum into food.

Tools

Aluminum has been used for the manufacture of many tools due to its high strength to weight ratio and its resistance to corrosion.
