Pulk sled

From The TSP Survival Wiki

A pulk sled or sledge is a simple arctic load bearing sled designed to be pulled by a human being on cross-country skis or snowshoes. If you are carrying heavy gear such as an INCH across snow covered territory, a pulk sled can make your task much easier. Pulk sleds are also good for hauling small children safely during a winter evacuation.[1] The disadvantage to a pulk sled is the extra drag which saps stamina if one is not prepared. It is important that if one plans to use, say, cross-country skis and a pulk to stay reasonably fit all year round.
