The environmental movement, a term that includes conservation movement and liberal green politics, is a diverse political, social and scientific movement for addressing environmental issues. Environmentalists advocate the sustainable management of resources and stewardship of the environment through changes in public policy (often via big government such as the United Nations and the nanny state) and individual behavior. In its recognition of humanity as a participant in (not enemy of) ecosystems, the movement is centered on ecology, health, and human rights.

The influence of the liberal environmental movement has effectively made support for global warming, not only a core element of political correctness, but also a requirement for the numerous prizes and awards given to scientists.[1]
