Commonality of Disaster

Commonality of disaster is a concept developed by Jack Spirko as a key component of modern survival philosophy and maintains that all disasters actually cause relatively the same lack of systems of support, common supplies and essential services. Regardless of the nature of the disaster, there are always the same core concerns of which one has to be aware: Shelter, Water, Food, Fire or Energy, Health and Sanitation, and Security. These concerns are common to every disaster from job loss to an asteroid impacting the earth.
