Bobbers and Floats

From The TSP Survival Wiki
Jump to: navigation, search

Bobbers or Floats are small, plastic or foam objects that are used to set the depth of a hook and bait as well as detect a fish tugging on a hook below the waterline. Bobbers can be purchased or improvised from available materials. While they are not strictly necessary to catch fish successfully, they make it much easier to catch some types of fish. The foam type bobbers are better for a bug out bag fishing kit as they will continue to float even if damaged, while the plastic ones will not.
